Who we are

Meteor Dreams, LLC is a technology consulting firm in Boston, Massachusetts. This policy explains what this website collects and what we do with it.

What this site collects

  • The contact form. When you send it, we receive the name, email address and message you enter and, if you fill them in, your company, your website, your company stage, your engineering team size, your priority, and how you heard about us, including a referrer's name or another source if you type one. The form also has a hidden field that people never see or fill; it catches automated submissions.
  • The email we receive from the form also carries your IP address and the time you sent it. Your IP address is also sent to our bot-protection service to verify the request.
  • Analytics. We use Fathom Analytics to count visits and a few interactions, such as a form being sent, without their contents. Fathom sets no cookies. It uses your IP address and browser information to count a visit without storing the raw IP address, and it does not identify visitors or track them across sites, as Fathom describes its service.
  • Bot protection. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a Cloudflare service that processes signals from your browser, including your IP address, to tell people from automated traffic, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We receive only the result.
  • Server logs. Our hosting platform keeps standard request logs, including IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to operate and secure the site.

Why

We use this information to answer your inquiry, to see which pages are read, to keep the contact form free of automated submissions, and to run and secure the site. We do not profile visitors, show advertising, or sell data.

Who receives it

Nobody else receives it, unless the law requires it.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies of its own. If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is stored in your browser's local storage, on your device only. Fathom Analytics sets no cookies. Cloudflare's documentation says the Turnstile check gives your browser a one-time token rather than setting a cookie.

How long

Contact-form email is kept as business correspondence and deleted when you ask. Fathom Analytics keeps its visit records without the raw IP address, as Fathom describes its service. Server logs are kept by the hosting platform to operate and secure the site and are not used to identify visitors.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing vuong@meteordreams.com. We answer within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes

We post any change to this policy on this page with a new effective date.
